Just a wee catch up

I seem to be very slack at updating this but to be honest there isn't much to update you all on. Going back a month or so, I went to Dunedin for work, I've never been there so after work I went for a walk through the city. They have gorgeous buildings there.

I also went to Palmerston North where we have a milk factory and earnest Adams where we make cakes, cookies and pastry. It was really awesome to go through there.

Just a little bit of milk

Christmas tarts

Cookies

Pastry

A little cake mixer

Then I went on a bread run with one of the contractors to Tauranga. We left early afternoon and got back just before midnight. The bread we took was made that morning, we dropped it off to the depot and another contractor takes it from there to the supermarkets and other store for the next morning.

So other than work, I haven't been up to much. Rowing is still going well.

I'm just at the airport now on my way to Nelson so looking forward to catching up with everyone there.

Mr James is still as gorgeous as ever. He came to help me do the washing the other day

Big cuddles when I get home from work.

Pamela ( friend from work) and I went to the Auckland art gallery yesterday at lunch, I forgot to take photos but I loved the art there.

They have just called my flight so I better go.

Latest happenings

Well it has been a while again since my last update, but I must say I am not the only slack one in my family with blog updates!
Despite the lack of free time I had it was lovely to see mum up last week.
We also had Ev and Jacinta staying here. So last last Saturday Jacinta and I went with some others for a hike to see some water falls out west. It's a pretty awesome bush.

We took them to try Italian Denzo's. hmmmmmm think James liked his too.

On Wednesday I flew down to Christchurch for the day for work, it was quite cold, but it was an awesome sunset on the flight home

My new job is going well, there is lots of trips at the moment to meet everyone and see around the plants and warehouses. I'm going to Palmerston North and Hamilton this week, Tauronga the week after and then Dunedin.
I started a rowing class last week, so we had the second session today. It's awesome out on the water it will be even better when the water is warmer than freezing!

It's awesome exercise, especially after two and a half hours like it was today. This should work better than diets that's for sure. It's much harder than I expected, there is a very precise sequence that you have to row in to keep in time with everyone else so that's going to take a bit of practice.

Goings on

Once again it's been a while since I have updated my blog, but anyway.

Starting a couple of weeks ago, I spent the day with Marco. We went to his hockey game in the morning

Then spent ages at the park before having lunch at Mc Donald's. he really didn't want to go home and when we got there he told me that if I tried to leave he wasn't going to let go of my leg. Hehe, think I might have to have him over for a sleep over one weekend.

Then the lovely Dave, Stacey and Issac and mark came for the weekend. We had lunch out on Friday together at the viaduct.

It was a gorgeous day!

Isaac thinks his Dad is pretty awesome!

He found his wee cousin quite amusing too. But what cute cousins!!!

Dave and Stacey helped me make a cake for a baking competition at work, sadly I didn't win but it was great fun. Thanks for the help lovely s.

A happy chappy with two iPads, a phone and a bread roll for both hands

In other news, I got the permanent job I had applied for at work, so that's very exciting.

Well that's all for now. Thanks for visiting Mark, Dave and Stacey

Drive Rush

A few weeks ago Julia asked if I wanted to do a stunt driving course with her. Well of course I has to say yes! So that's what we did this weekend.

First we did a thrill ride where they did lots of tricks and spins.
Then we had a couple of goes at jumping over the jump.

Was a pretty awesome feeling.

Then we went on the skid pad

I have to try this in the daeute next time it rains!

YouTube Video

It was heaps of fun, Thanks Ju!

Apparently I got a year older yesterday. I was rather spoilt both at work and when I got home. My friend Pamela at work made me a cheesecake and made sure everyone knew it was my birthday.

When I got home, Amy had set the table up for a dinner party.

She used her new linen and old silverware. Fred and Ju came over, it was great to see them.

We had mini pizzas and salad

My favourite chicken wrapped in bacon with roasties

And apple and white chocolate tarts

It was an awesome dinner, thanks lovely Amy, Matt and James.
Mark did amazingly well, not only was he the first to ring me but he (thanks to Amy) also had a present ready. He brought me a blunt umbrella. It's going to be very handy when walking to work.

Amy brought me a new wallet from Briarwood. It goes really well with my new bag.

Mum was the most organised though, she brought me some tea cups to go with the teapot I got for Christmas. So we have had lots of cups of tea with them. Thanks mum, I love them!

Mr. James provided the background music (screaming) and entertainment for the night, but also gave lots of cuddles.

It was a lovely and I think I may get use to being so old. Just hope the next birthday doesn't arrive so quickly.
